- 2 c apple cider vinegar 1 c brown sugar
- 1 c white sugar
- 3 T minced garlic
- 1 T salt
- 4 T red pepper flakes, divided 2 T water
- 1 T garlic powder
- 1 T onion powder
- 2 t cayenne pepper
- 2 t paprika
- 1 t allspice
- 1 T black pepper
- 1 t cumin
- 1 t nutmeg
- 1 t cinnamon
- 1 t dried thyme
- 1 t dried oregano
Put vinegar in a pot over high heat, bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to a simmer and add sugars.
Place garlic, salt, and 3 T red pepper flakes and water in a food processor and pulse to combine into a paste.
Add paste to the vinegar and simmer for 20 minutes or until slightly thickened.
Cool to room temperature then mix in the rest of the spices, including the remaining red pepper flakes.
