Ingredients:
- 1/2 c Jello Mix, plus more for smashing
- 1/2 c brown sugar
- 1 c powdered sugar
- 1/2 c Powdered Sugar
- 1 c Butter
- 1 c Canola Oil
- 2 Eggs
- 1 t Vanilla
- 1 t Salt
- 1 t Baking Soda
- 1 t Cream of Tartar
- 4 3/4 c Flour
Cooking instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Cream together Jello, sugars, butter and oil until lighter in color. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly between each one. Add vanilla, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar. Mix well.
- Add flour, one cup at a time, mixing well between each addition.
- Cover and chill dough for at least 30 minutes.
- Shape dough into balls and place on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Press the cookies into discs with the bottom of a glass dipped in Jello powder.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly brown. Remove from pan and cool completely.
Powder Sugar Frosting:
- 1/4 c Butter, softened
- 2 c Powder Sugar
- 2 T Jello Powder
- 1 t Milk
Instructions:
- Beat butter, sugar, Jello powder and milk together until smooth. If the frosting is too thick, add more milk, a few drops at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
